Holiday days

As a student I still have the luxury of a summerholiday, where I have a minimum of 6 weeks no school. I do have a part-time job during the year and now I asked to work a little more, so I do. You know, to earn a bit more so I can spend a bit more during the holidays! But I still have a lot of days totally for myself and they all pretty much look the same. Rather boring, but I enjoy them.

I usually sleep in, planned or not. Like this morning, where my alarm tried to wake me up at 8.00 o'clock, and every 9 minutes later until nine and I turned it off. I fell back asleep again and woke up at 10. But opening the curtain and having a lovely blue sky to look up to, really helps. Trying to really wake-up this time I grab my phone and start checking my social media or play a game for like an hour or so. Then it really is time to get out and start doing things. So I dress myself, eat some breakfast, or more like brunch, and often start doing some chores in or around the house. Like the day before yesterday, where I cleaned my own room, and yesterday I cleaned my boyfriends room (I am an amazing girlfriend, am I not?), and today I went to the supermarket and the animal shop (to get some mice for tonights chore). In the supermarket I had a lovely chat with a father and daughter whom I didn't even know. I loved it and those things make my day so much better.

After that I decided that the rest of the day would be spent in the sun, getting a bit more tanned than I already am. Just like yesterday. As we don't have that many sunny days in the Netherlands, I try to enjoy the sun as much as possible on the days when there aren't many clouds. Sadly, eventhough I really like and enjoy the sun, my body thinks otherwise. I quite often end up with a huge headache, and feeling not to well.
While laying in the sun I read a book, play on my phone or listen to some music. Now I'm reading the third book of the Harry Potter series, in English. As an former cancer patient, I do find it really important to take good care of my skin, so I won't get a sunburn. You know, because that increases the chance of skincancer. I make sure I use my suncream enough and before I go to sleep I use aftersun, just to make sure my skin gets enough hydration to heal from the big amount of sun it gets. And besides the fact it's just better, taking good care of your skin also means you keep the brown colour much longer! Who doesn't want that?

After dinner I spent some time with my boyfriend or friends, or all by myself. Yesterday my boyfriend and I watched a movie together. And it was so lovely to spend time like that together, especially when we find it hard to pick a film we both think we will like. We watched 'The Croods' and it was a good and funny movie we indeed both liked! We ended up playing with our candy, just like little kids play with their food. My mouse was strangled by his snake, just like real snakes do! That's what you get when you (well he does) have snakes.
Tonight will be the night were we feed his snakes again, not that it is difficult or something, but it takes time. So that's why I went to the animalshop today and bought 3 mice. He also has a bearded dragon that will get crickets for dinner tonight! Other days we walk with a friend of ours (or just the two of us) to hunt Pokémon. Those walks are usually around two hours. That's how we spend the night, but we really enjoy it and it's healty too! Who said Pokémon Go wasn't a good game?
My boyfriend and I like to play games aswell, not together though, as he likes the games on his xBox and I prefer games like the Sims or Simcity.  So quit often, especially when the weather isn't that amazing, that fills our evenings too. And if I am not playing a game, I am watching my favorite YouTubers or one of the series I watch on Netflix.

How do you spend your days off? Let me know on twitter or in my guestbook!
